Technical Architecture & Functional Positioning
The F3 AIO 8/4 01 is HIMA’s most space-efficient safety analog solution: one slice replaces an entire rack of conventional analog input and output modules while maintaining full SIL3 integrity. Internally it uses dual diverse processors with continuous cross-monitoring and independent AD/DA converters per channel.
Line monitoring for inputs detects wire-break and short-circuit even in the 4–20 mA live-zero range. Outputs feature active readback comparison — any deviation > 1 mA between commanded and actual current forces the channel to safe state within 20 ms.
Full HART transparency allows simultaneous safety integrity and asset-management data (valve positioner diagnostics, transmitter health) without compromising the certified safety loop.
