In a ControlLogix system that still needs to talk native Modbus Plus to Modicon or other MB+ devices, the ProSoft MVI56‑MBP is the in‑rack solution that avoids external gateways bolted to the side of the cabinet. It occupies one 1756 slot and presents dual Modbus Plus ports while exposing up to 4,000 words of data to the Logix processor over the backplane.

The module is designed as a bidirectional master/slave interface, with up to 200 master commands and 100‑word read/write blocks, so you can poll Modbus Plus segments and also present the ControlLogix data as a slave to existing Modicon networks.
