Technical Architecture & Functional Positioning

The F7546 is the modern replacement for the classic F7130A in all new HIQuad X installations. It is built as a fully hot-swappable 19-inch cassette with front-side connectors and integrated digital diagnostics, eliminating the need for separate 3-slot backplane modules inside the PES rack.

Active current sharing and a dedicated parallel bus allow seamless n+1 redundant configurations without external diodes or monitoring modules. In a typical 2 × F7546 setup, failure of one unit results in < 1 ms voltage dip and automatic 100 % load transfer while the digital display and backplane immediately report the exact fault (input loss, overtemperature, or fan failure).

This architecture significantly reduces cabinet depth, wiring complexity, and MTTR compared to legacy H51q systems.
