The HCS02.1E-W0028 is the economy-performance member of the IndraDrive C series, delivering full converter functionality in the smallest mechanical footprint of the 400–500 V class. It integrates power stage, control unit, braking chopper, and Multi-Ethernet interface, and STO safety in one housing — reducing cabinet volume by more than 50 % compared to traditional separate power/control designs.
Its 32-bit DSP achieves current loop cycles of 62.5 μs and velocity loops of 125 μs, providing torque rise times below 1 ms — performance previously reserved for higher-power models. The integrated energy recovery capability via shared DC bus and internal braking chopper makes it ideal for applications with moderate regenerative duty cycles without external resistors.
Engineers particularly value the “one-cable solution” compatibility (Hiperface DSL or EnDat 2.2) that reduces motor wiring to a single hybrid cable, cutting installation cost and improving EMC behaviour in long cable runs.

Visual & Mechanical Inspection
- 20× microscopic inspection of IGBT solder joints and DC bus bars
- Capacitance and ESR measurement of all electrolytic capacitors
- Fan bearing play and impeller cleaning
Live Burn-In & Load Testing
- Minimum 48-hour continuous operation at 40 °C, 8 kHz switching, 28 A RMS using water-cooled RL load bank
- Real-time monitoring of DC bus voltage, IGBT junction temperature, and fan RPM
- Thermal imaging to verify heatsink temperature gradient <8 °C
