    SERVO DYNAMICS MTS30M4-38 is a permanent-magnet brushed DC servo motor designed for industrial motion control in automation, robotics, and machining applications.     Installation & Configuration Guide

    Phase 1 — Pre-Installation (est. 10 min):
    De-energize servo drive and motor cables; wait 5 min for supply discharge. Tools: insulated screwdriver set, label tags, multimeter, torque driver, encoder hookup info. Backup drive tuning profiles; document existing motor wiring and encoder mapping.

    Phase 2 — Removal (est. 5 min):
    Label motor power and feedback wires before disconnecting. Loosen and remove servo mounting screws; pull the motor straight off its mount. Inspect drive connector pins and encoder cable for wear or corrosion.

    Phase 3 — Installation (est. 10 min):
    Match part number exactly; verify encoder type and wiring pinout. Mount motor on machine frame; torque flange screws per machine spec. Connect power leads and feedback harness; maintain correct polarity. Shield feedback cables and separate them from power leads.

    Phase 4 — Power-On & Testing (est. 15 min):
    Apply drive power (verify 140 V DC supply). Power up servo drive; check status LEDs. Using drive software, confirm motor parameters (voltage, current limits, encoder counts) and tune PID as needed. Run a slow test move; check direction and encoder feedback. Conduct functional tests under load >30 min and log results.
