Product Introduction
Electrical faults in industrial systems rarely start as hard failures. They usually begin as invisible power quality degradation—harmonic distortion, voltage imbalance, or transient spikes that slowly destabilize loads. GE PQMII-C-A is used in electrical distribution systems where continuous monitoring of power quality parameters is required for diagnostics, compliance, and system stability tracking.
From a field engineering perspective, GE PQMII-C-A is typically installed in switchboards, MCC panels, and substation monitoring points where engineers need precise electrical behavior data rather than estimated readings. The module is validated through signal injection testing, communication verification, and extended runtime observation before shipment. CT/VT scaling and communication configuration must be verified before commissioning.
In real installations, the unit may appear fully functional but still produce incorrect system interpretation if scaling factors or wiring configuration are not aligned with the original design.
Incoming inspection follows a structured traceability workflow. Serial labels are verified, enclosure condition is reviewed for corrosion, scratches, terminal wear, UV aging, or repair marks, and any available documentation is logged. GE PQMII-C-A is only released when physical condition matches declared specification.
Functional testing is performed on a calibrated power simulation bench. Power-on checks include LED/display status (if applicable), boot stability, and reset behavior validation. Measurement channels are tested using controlled voltage and current injection. GE PQMII-C-A is also evaluated under continuous operation to confirm thermal stability and measurement consistency over time. Test reports and photo/video evidence can be provided upon request.
Electrical verification may include insulation resistance testing using a 500 V megger with target values above 10 MΩ where applicable. Ground continuity checks are completed before packaging. High-potential testing is applied only when appropriate for measurement-class devices.
Before shipment, firmware revision and configuration parameters are recorded. Communication settings, CT ratios, and scaling factors (if accessible) are documented with photos. Final QC includes ESD-safe sealing, reinforced export packaging, and dated inspection labeling. GE PQMII-C-A passes functional verification at time of test; final integration correctness depends on site configuration.
