    Installation & Configuration Guide

    Phase 1—Pre-Installation (est. 10 min)
    De-energize the Symphony Plus rack. Wait 5 minutes for capacitor discharge. Grab a 24 V DC multimeter, ESD wrist strap, and a camera. Export the current S+ I/O configuration. Photograph the existing fiber routing, termination modules (HBX01L/HBX01R), and rack layout—photo, photo, photo.

    Phase 2—Removal (est. 5 min)
    Label every fiber optic cable before disconnecting. Release the horizontal row module latch. Slide the RFO810 out carefully, keeping the fiber connectors clean. Inspect the POF/HCS connectors for dust or scratches.

    Phase 3—Installation (est. 10 min)
    Strap on your ESD gear. Verify the part number matches RFO810. Slide the module into the horizontal row base (RMU810), seat until the latch clicks. Reconnect fiber optic cables (observe ring topology: Tx→Rx, Rx→Tx). Install HBX01L at the left end and HBX01R at the right end of the bus. Run a pre-power checklist: supply voltage 24 V DC, ground continuity, no loose strands.
