Description
Product Introduction
Converteam MVDL1000-4701-S is a liquid-cooled DELTA transistor (IGBT) power module designed for the MV3000 variable-speed drive system. It functions as an AC inverter bridge, converting DC-link voltage into variable-frequency AC for motor control or network-bridge applications.
The module is rated for 1000 A continuous RMS current (with overload capability) at working voltages up to 690 V AC and a nominal DC-link voltage around 1200–1250 V. It is controlled by the MV3000 Common Drive Controller (CDC) and is intended for installation in the standard DELTA liquid-cooled frame. The “-S” designation typically identifies a specific hardware or option configuration within the MVDL1000 family.
Installation & Configuration Guide
Phase 1 — Pre-Installation (est. 20–30 min)
Isolate and lock out all power sources to the drive. Discharge the DC link completely (observe the published discharge time). Tools: ESD protection, calibrated torque tools, coolant-system tools, multimeter (Fluke 115). Photograph existing power connections, coolant hoses, and control interfaces.
Phase 2 — Removal (est. 30–45 min)
Drain or isolate the liquid-cooling circuit. Label and disconnect AC phase, DC-link, control, and auxiliary connectors. Unbolt the module from the DELTA frame and carefully remove it, supporting its full weight.
Phase 3 — Installation (est. 30–45 min)
Verify the full part number MVDL1000-4701-S. Mount the module in the frame using the correct torque sequence. Reconnect AC and DC power terminals, control links, and coolant lines (confirm correct plumbing option and bleed any air). Complete the pre-power interlock and continuity checks.
Phase 4 — Power-On & Testing (est. 30–45 min)
Apply control power first, then energize under supervised conditions. Verify CDC communication, coolant flow, and temperature sensors. Perform a controlled ramp test while monitoring current, voltage, and thermal performance. Log the replacement and any configuration changes.
