Functional Architecture (Field View)
REC650 behaves like three systems in one cabinet:
- Control layer: breaker + isolator control, interlocking logic, local/remote operation
- Protection layer: backup OC, EF, voltage, frequency, breaker failure
- Station layer: IEC 61850 communication, GOOSE, SCADA integration
In retrofit projects, engineers often replace multiple electromechanical relays + interposing relays with one REC650 bay unit to reduce wiring density and simplify logic verification.
