    Product Introduction

A communication failure in a safety instrumented system (SIS) can isolate your emergency shutdown (ESD) logic from the main control room and disrupt critical diagnostic monitoring. The TRICONEX TCM-4355X delivers fault-tolerant Ethernet bridging and real-time telemetry streaming across demanding oil and gas, nuclear, and chemical processing facilities. Engineered to strict IEC 61508 SIL 3 safety standards, it slides directly into standard Tricon v10/v11 chassis slots without requiring backplane changes or chassis rewiring.

In field deployments across Tricon safety frameworks, this module maintains isolated data pathways between the main processors and external networks to safeguard safety logic against network overload. The TRICONEX TCM-4355X links into Schneider Electric Wonderware or third-party DCS backbones to keep plant safety monitoring running smoothly. Listed prices serve as a baseline market reference; actual costs depend on global surplus availability and current lead times. Contact our procurement team directly to request an exact quote.

    Installation & Configuration Guide

    Phase 1 — Pre-Installation (est. 10 min)

Verify that the active Tricon main processors are operating in normal TMR mode before opening communication slots. Assemble a flathead precision screwdriver, torque driver, anti-static wrist strap, and digital multimeter. Backup current system configuration files and node network parameters using TriStation 1131 software. Take clear photos of all network cable tags, port assignments, and slot position on the active TRICONEX TCM-4355X unit.

    Phase 2 — Removal (est. 5 min)

Label every Ethernet cable and fiber jumper with port tags before disconnecting them. Unplug network connectors by releasing their locking tabs. Loosen the top and bottom captive panel screws on the module faceplate. Disengage the card ejector levers by pulling them outward simultaneously. Carefully slide the module out of the chassis card guides. Inspect the backplane connectors inside the chassis for dust, bent pins, or signs of wear.

    Phase 3 — Installation (est. 10 min)

Put on your ESD wrist strap and bond its grounding lead to the chassis enclosure frame. Remove the replacement TRICONEX TCM-4355X from its anti-static shielding bag. Verify the full part number and revision code on the side label against your bill of materials. Align the module circuit board with the chassis guide rails and push firmly until the ejector levers engage the frame. Press the levers flush to seat the board into the backplane, then tighten captive panel screws to ~0.6 N·m. Reconnect all network cables.
