Product Introduction
The PR6423/001-011 EPRO is a heavy-duty industrial sensor that establishes a high-frequency electromagnetic field at its tip. When a ferromagnetic shaft moves within this field, it creates eddy currents that change the impedance of the probe coil. This change is precisely proportional to the distance between the probe and the shaft, allowing for sub-micron measurement of rotor movement.
The “001-011” suffix defines the mechanical configuration, including the thread size and the integral pigtail length. In my experience with Emerson MMS systems, this sensor is a passive component. Its accuracy is entirely dependent on being paired with a CON-series driver calibrated for the specific electrical “system length” of this probe. Without the correct driver, the 8 V/mm sensitivity required by API 670 cannot be guaranteed.
